  The Dudes Patio Blog July 2 nd 2021 Happy Friday everyone, Well, the heat seems to be subsiding a little but still hot! I hope the heat doesn’t affect everyone’s 4 th of July plans. Speaking of the 4 th , I have the perfect hotdog for you to make and that is a Seattle Dog! Perfect combination of Kraut, cream cheese and brown or yellow mustard. I’ll leave the link below. Seriously this dog is amazing, not your run of the mill hotdog. Give it a try and tell me what you think. This 4 th I am working but I have Tuesday and Wednesday off so its back behind the camera for me. Its supposed to be hot but with a fan on and the misters going it should be ok. I have narrowed my list of videos to make to Picanha and a Quesadilla! The only thing about the Quesadilla is I haven’t decided to make a straight up normal one or a chicken wing sauce one. Thoughts?   The Dudes Patio Blog July 1 st , 2021 Hello everyone! Happy July friends! I hope you are staying out of the heat! Yesterday it as 104 in Boise, man that is hot! To hot to be cooking outside so we decided to so Doordash! Local is the way to go! We ordered from a local burger joint called Fanci Freez. They serve some of the best burgers and shakes around. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and Mrs. Dude had the Cheeseburger. Add a large vanilla milkshake to the mix and you gotta meal! Oh, do not forget the fries! Pics are below.     It’s supposed to cool off a bit next week so I’m looking forward to some behind the camera time. I’m thinking of making Picanha on the Weber Kettle. I have had it before but never made it so it should be fun! Another idea I have been tossing around is a Chicken Burger.   The Dudes Patio Blog  June 30 th  2021 Hello all,   Another day in the heat! Today we hit 102 degrees! My hometown of Richland Washington is supposed to hit 117 degrees today. Glad I’m not living there anymore. But, to all my friends and family in The Tri-Cities I hope you are staying cool and hydrated! Yesterdays blog we talked about the veggie basket over the Weber Kettle. Turned out to be a disaster! If I had used large veggie slices it would have been fine but cut onions, bell peppers and asparagus don’t do well! LOL! We live and learn right? I will try again when its not so hot outside.   The Dudes Patio Blog  June 29 th 2021 Hello all, Another day in the heat! Man, can you believe how hot it is? Today is supposed to be 106 for a high and 68 for a low. 106 is way to hot to be outside filming but I will be cooking up more vegies! My buddy Craig over at Behind the Garage BBQ on YouTube gave me an idea a month ago for grilling veggies and its finally time to try it! His idea was to use the chicken rotisserie with a grill basket. I’ll have pictures tomorrow. As for the other days cook, I did Kabobs on the Onlyfire Santa Maria Style Grill over the Weber Kettle. Add a pork chop to the mix and you have a meal. Pictures are below. Using the Onlyfire is the way to go when it comes to being able to regulate the heat over the charcoal in the Weber. The Dudes Patio Blog  Monday June 28th, 2021 I know I was supposed to be cooking yesterday but the heatwave of 2021 has finally caught up to us. Today’s lows are supposed to be 74 and the high of 101. Makes for a hot day all around. I installed the misters over the patio and that helped with the temp but still, I think I need more.  Tonight, I think its veggie kabobs on the Weber Kettle and pork chops. It’s going to be a hot cook but all should be well if I cook under the misters. Should be interesting.  Tomorrow, Tuesday the 29th I start on call for the day job, 7 days straight work. Its not a bad job, working on POS systems and supporting Payments, it’s a living and I do enjoy it, just not the 7 days straight. Good news is since I work the holiday I get 2 days off during the week next week. The temps are looking like they are coming down next week so I hope to get some cook time in.
